The Assail Em Feel
He just heard another of his companions had fallen and it wasn't any companion, he wasn't a man of words, it was never his thing and this people, his allies, his companions…. They needed someone, someone to lead them, someone they could rely on for support after they suffered another loss and their hopes were as low as they could get. This were bad news, like really bad news, this was the last push, the best opportunity they had, well more like the only they’ve had, probably the only they would get.
But there was no time to think about that he knew what he had to do, well it all made sense in his head at least, of course when isn't that the case?
He knew that his ally died behind enemy lines, this info was all he needed, it´s all he cared about. He could stop turn back and get his team together coordinate some new strategy, yeah of course “he could”, So he took the sword he had just gotten, the feel of owning it, of going into battle with it. It was all he cared about at the moment so he ignored his team, what did they know, for all he cared none of them was any better than whomever had the brilliant idea of dying behind enemy lines, he only had one job and yet he managed to mess it up.
After isolating himself he started moving he knew how to end this, he even took a second to apologize to whomever just died, he deserved a bit of credit his dead at least gave him the enemy info he needed, the archer and the archmage were his immediate threat. He knew how both of them would react upon seeing him, he had experienced that before, and he enjoyed being right about the reaction more than he should, he had fought against thousands of them and dealt with almost all of them without any major problem.
He went for a surprise attack , not cause that was his only option actually it was far away from being even close to that, but he wasn't about to waste the opportunity to show off his abilities, not to his allies or anyone that somehow was watching, no he wasn't that naive he wanted his enemies to witness his skill, to feel like they had no idea of what they were doing, to humiliate them for even daring to think they had a chance against him, it never changed.
In some ways he knew his enemies better than they knew themselves, the archmage was an expert on water manipulation type magic he lived up to his name “The Rogue Typhoon” he had grown on the eastern islands, protected by one of the elder guardians which had blessed him with the power of “magic”.
He dedicated the next few years of his life travelling around the different islands first limited to the archipelago he was born on, but later he moved to explore more of the world from the SubZero tribes on the north to the River monks on the Mahena Forest.
He learned all he could from this travels, he discovered a lot about his powers and about himself to the point he was approached to join the “Assail Em” trials were they were at the moment.
The archer on the other hand she had less of an epc story, but she was nonetheless dangerous even more so he´d dare to think than the archmage she hadn´t been blessed by an ancient guardian or spent years travelling around the world. No she wasn´t any of that, her story began as the daughter of the chieftain from an independent K´Jmageen tribe, but all she remembered about her people was their lore, the legends she had heard from the mother which she couldn't remember even tho she was killed almost in front of her. Her caravan had been attacked by the Boundless Empire which considered them savages with their blood sacrifices and seamlessly unorganized and chaotic society. And that was just the beginning of her story which after quite a bit of events ended up back on the old capital of the K´Jmageen were she was chosen by the Mageen Bow to wield him, to take this ancient relic from a forgotten time and avenge the former empire by any means possible
He saw the archer first, he knew that the only chance they had to survive was if they spotted him, but the archer was calm clearly confident from her recent kill while the archmage seemed more focused, actually he was way to focused he should be low on mana, was his assumption wrong? No that can't be the archmage probably used some sort of item.
With that smile there was just a thought on his head.
“It's time to go to work”.
